Non-Discriminatory Admissions Policy


WHEREAS, at all times since the founding of Pacific Oaks, a California nonprofit corporation (the “Corporation”), the Corporation has admitted students to its academic programs based on a non-discriminatory admission policy;

WHEREAS, such policy has been in compliance with Revenue Procedure 75-50 (1975) issued by the Internal Revenue Service (the “Revenue Procedure”);

WHEREAS, in accordance with such Revenue Procedure, the Corporation’s Board of Trustees (the “Board”) deems it to be in the best interest of the Corporation to affirm its general non-discriminatory admission policy;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board hereby affirms the Corporation’s general policy to admit students of any race, color, national, ethnic origin, or sexual orientation to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at Pacific Oaks. The Corporation does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin, or sexual orientation in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship, loan programs, and other school-administered programs;

RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the Board hereby directs the Corporation to include a statement of its non-discriminatory admission policy as to students in all its brochures, catalogues, and publicly accessible online materials dealing with student admissions, programs and scholarships, Children’s School brochures and admissions materials, as well as any other written advertising that the Corporation uses as a means of informing prospective students of its programs;

RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the Secretary of the Board is directed to place a copy of this resolution in the Board’s minute book and is further authorized and directed to execute and deliver, in conjunction with the Corporation’s non-discriminatory admission policy and to parties interested therein, certified copies of this resolution, the Corporation’s bylaws, certificates attesting to the incumbency of officers and the authenticity of their signatures, and other certificates or documents of a similar or related nature; and

RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the prior acts of the officers and staff members of the Corporation with respect to the Corporation’s non-discriminatory admission policy are hereby ratified and approved.
