The Annual Fund
Pacific Oaks Children’s School, like most non-profit schools, relies on philanthropic donations to fund classroom programs, provide tuition assistance for families in need, and improve enhancements to our historic campus.
Our community—current and former parents and families, grandparents, friends, teachers, and staff—contribute to the Annual Fund. In the past, these individuals have helped support professional developments for our teachers and staff, provided campus renovations, and funded the creation of our Outdoor Classroom.
Through the Annual Fund, we are able to bridge the gap between tuition and the true cost of education. Tuition covers 85% of annual operating expenditures, covering items such as materials for each yard’s classroom activities and the salaries of over 40 teachers to maintain the quality of individualized attention and care of each child. This year’s Fund has a broad focus to ensure that the Children’s School areas of greatest need are met. Annual Fund contributions go towards projects such as buying a new outdoor play structure, purchasing a new kiln for the art studio, and enhancing yet preserving our historical classrooms.
Gifts of any amount can also be made to the Pacific Oaks Children’s School Scholarship Fund. Socio-economic diversity is one of our school’s core values, and by keeping tuition increases to a minimum, we can remain affordable to a diverse pool of families. This practice helps us deepen our commitment to an inclusive community.
